Clocking in at over an hour, CP's latest project 'Chronological Ballistics' pulls you into its eclectic musical world from the very start. The album welcomes you with the melodic 'Chrono Intro' before 'Straightryda' kicks into gear with its bluesy chopped beats complemented by raspy vocals, setting the tone. Some tracks took us back, like "Down by the River" with its Old school rap vibes. The catchy hooks and boom sounds had us nodding along like we were back in the '90s. Speaking of vibes, "Funky Lou" had us on another planet - so woozy and dreamy. And don't even get us started on "Ridin 24s" - the autotune on that track was butter.

 

This album runs the full musical gamut. One second we’re immersed in a laser light show trance on "All Around," and the next we’re getting our reggae on with the party anthem "Cameras." CP pours her whole personality into everything she creates too - you can just feel her charisma shining through on fun tracks like "Superwoman" and "Natural Sky."

 

The album ends on such an inspiring note with "Thank Him" and "Winner." Hearing C.P.'s uplifting words over those beats had us feeling emotional like we just gained a new sense of purpose.
